Re: have you frozen any meals?

  • I have not yet, but am planning on it.  I have found a wonderful website and I'll be happy to share it.  It gives you everything you need to buy and the steps for the day.  It looks pretty easy and amazing.

This is the September menu, but you can go back throughout the year and look at which menu sounds good.  Hope you enjoy it and let me know if you had success with it.  I'm anxious to try it, but just don't seem to have the time just yet.

  • Casseroles, lasagnes, mac-n-cheese, meatballs/pasta sauce, meatloaves, soups, chili, and breads seem to freeze the best.

YES. I also freeze veggies from my garden, I chop then up into meal size portions and freeze them and when its time for dinner I just take them out of the bag and throw them in the microwave to steam them, works great!

  • I have not... I have had every intention of doing this but I just haven't....such a slacker about cooking I guess. I'm curious to see what others have done.
  • I just started last weekend. So far I have a wks worth of chilli and a wks worth of american chop suey frozen. I also made 2 loaves of banana bread that I froze as well.

Im cooking a turkey tomorrow and will be creative w/ the leftover meat.

Im lucky since we have a freezer in the basement so I can fill it up w/ "baby meals".

  • I made and froze 2 batches of homemade apple sauce and some homemade soup. I hope to get some lasagna and maybe another italian type casserole dish frozen too, and maybe some more soup.
