We are getting ready to move Mikey to a toddler bed by converting his crib. I know I can still use crib sheets to cover the mattress but am having no luck finding flat sheets to make it more like a bed and less like a crib. I know I can buy a specific toddler bedding set but I'd like to have at least an extra sheet set on hand in case he has an accident.
What have you done or found?
Re: Toddler bed sheets
I'd suggest going to www.olivekids.com
My DS has the pirate set and my other one has the dinosaurland set. I LOVE the quality of their things!
FWIW, don't get too hung up on having a top sheet so the bed is more "bedlike" and less criblike.
I have found that a sheet just gives small kids an extra thing to get tangled up in. My DS, even at age 5, still sleeps just with a comforter or quilt thrown over him. When I put the flat sheet on his bed, it winds up scrunched down at the bottom or on the floor, so I usually just make his bed up without the flat sheet!
I think there's at least a 50/50 chance that if you buy special flat sheets for a toddler bed, that you will wind up not using them anyway.
