There are a million posts that get repetitive... that is the nature of these boards. We are all at different stages in our pregnancies but eventually going through the same things, making the same decisions, etc.
Yes, after awhile the same subject get old. So, I quit reading the "It's a....!" posts (unless it's from someone I "know") and the NT Scan posts. Basically anything that's no longer of interest to me.
But... there are plenty of girls who are at earlier stages in their pregnancies or haven't quite made a decision on a paticular subject and are looking for more information and part of that information seeking involves talking to other people in their same situations.
Re: I Really Don't See the Problem with the H1N1 Posts...
Agree....
Seriously... they're way more annoying than the legitimate H1N1 questions.

You really like being a bi*ch, don't you?
LOL. I'm glad I inspire the urge to run for the border....
Mmm, sounds good!
I just had to have their cinnamon twists today. Mmmmm...
I agree!!
Just making an observation. No need to overreact, sweetie.
Another observation - you are quick to call people a b*tch. I mean, do you say that to everyone who disagrees with you? There are a lot of people I don't exactly see eye-to-eye with on this board, but I have never name-called. It's childish and pointless and accomplishes nothing except to distract from any intelligent thought you have to offer.

Eh, its proper net etiquette (across all message boards on the internet) to lurk before you post. For some reason, the nest/bump/knot attract a lot of first time message board people so they don't know how to do it. This leads to a lot of repitition of questions that would be avoided if people would lurk for a day or too.
Thats the only reason it bugs me. People either don't think (I mean do they really think no one has talked about it before) or they are too lazy to look.
But wow, yeah, I would say the b!tch comment was out of line.
Some of us actually have lives and don't spend our days lurking message boards....
This is an open forum for pregnant women to post their concerns and questions -- no one has any right to say what anyone else should or shouldn't post. If you don't want to read it, then don't click on it!If you did something other than "lurk" the message boards, you might realize that people posting the same questions as others have has nothing to do with laziness or a lack of "proper net etiquette."
It takes all of 15 minutes--tops--to scan through the first few pages of posts on a given board on a given day and see the things that keep popping up. Honestly, there are a lot of threads that repeat topics/questions posted literally one page back. You don't even have to open the threads to notice that. If you have time to sign up for an account, choose a username and make a cute signature, you should have time to "lurk."
And the whole "some of us have lives" argument is just as bratty and hackneyed as the "I'm so tired of hearing about H1N1" posts. Although I assume you took a break from simultaneously feeding orphans in Africa and performing an emergency tracheotomy with a ballpoint pen to post that.
