Got myself a new man...Darian is here..
" mce_src=""> Hope the PIP works...we'll see. But anyway here is my birth story. Was scheduled to be induced on 10-21 due to gestational diabetes, they had no beds available so I had to wait until 10-22.
Pitocin was started and my contractions werent all too bad at first...I was hoping to avoid the Epi due to the whole needle (yikes!) situation. My water was broken and then the contractions really hit me. Couldn't take the pain anymore after about 2 hours so decided to give Stadol a shot.
Waste. Of. Time. By the time another 2 hours had passed I gave up and said bring on the Epi and you know something? The shot was NOT at all bad like I had feared.
The little guys heart rate started dropping way down...something I do not recall one bit. Apparently one of the nurses had to rush out into the hallway and have my doctor paged because of this...and I wasn't aware of that happening until my husband and my mom had told me after Darian was born.
Anyway...because of the heart rate scare it was decided that the contractions would be stopped and a vaginal delivery was out the window as I would be getting a c section after all.
Darian was born on Oct 22 2009 at 8:24pm. 7 pounds 7 ounces 19 3/4 inches. The c section itself wasnt so bad...except towards the end when the epi was starting to wear off and I could feel a slight burning and asked the anesthesiologist to please give me something so I was then given Toradol. Now...AFTER the c section...thats where the pain and suffering comes, I'm not going to lie and even sugar coat that, however each day does get a little easier.
