  There are some Combi strollers that fold up pretty narrow. Not sure if they are suitable for newborns though.

  This one is car seat compatible with combi car seat but if you're planning on using a snap n go and then putting baby into the stroller once it's older, then you're not tied down to combi car seats.

  I'm not sure what needs you have in a stroller. We probably won't use one very much early on, so we registered for the Joovy Kooper. Not too expensive, very sturdy looking, and folds down to practically nothing. It's basically a really beefed up umbrella stroller.

  Have you looked at the snap n go? That's the one I choose and it is very light and compact.

  My Bugaboo Bee is pretty small and lightweight, and it's suitable for newborns.  I have a hybrid car with a tiny trunk so I needed something small too.

  Take a look at the Peg Perego Pliko P3.  It folds up like an umbrella stroller, but functions like a travel system (compatible with the Peg carseat).

  I second the City Mini.  Lightweight, easy to fold up and compact.  Not sure how it specifically does in a small trunk.  I have an SUV.

  Another vote for Baby Jogger City Mini. If you buy the infant car seat adapter it will function like a travel system with a variety of car seats.

  I would go with a Snap N Go type stroller frame for the first couple months and then move to a Maclaren Quest (they recline) once your baby hits 3m.

  This! We had a P3 for DS when we lived in Europe and drove a crazy small car. We used that stroller for 3 years straight and couldn't have been happier with it.
