Anyone with Type 2 diabetes and pregnant?

I have type 2 diabetes and am currently pregnant. The endo dr put me on insulin as the Metformin I was taking isn't good for pregnancy. I see there are a lot of GD girls on here, just curious if there are any type 2's? TIA

    I'm a type two and 18 weeks pregnant.  I've gotten off my metformin also and am taking insulin now.

     I'm learning slowly, was dx'ed with type 2 last Feb.  

    There is so much to know I find it overwhelming at times.

    I also have type 2.  I have not had my first appt yet, but I totally expect a huge change in all my medication.

    type 2 here.  My doctor also took me off of metformin and started me on insulin.  it took about a month for me to finally control my numbers with the insulin.

    I'm excited to have found some more type 2's :) My numbers are still kinda wacky but I see the dietician and nurse every week and am taking the insulin every night. Does having type 2 make us high risk?

    I'm also a type 2 diabetic. ?I was diagnosed?exactly?one year before my wedding (what a bummer that was!) - which was July 2008. ?I was put on Metformin & Avandamet (which is the combo pill of Metformin & Actos.) ?It worked beautifully until I got pregnant. In fact, I knew I might be preggo when I had a few days of insane numbers (like going from 50 to 300 to 75 to 200......)

    ONce the pregnancy was confirmed, I was taken off the meds (which?weren't?working anyway) and put right on insulin. ?I was bummed out at first, but it isn't THAT bad... I figure it's just what I have to do to have a healthy baby. ?And so far, everything is working! ?I do my best to keep my numbers in range, and at my last blood work (a month ago) my A1C was 5.2!!! ?I was psyched!!
