Hey all,

 I posted my intro on 1st Tri, but wanted to touch base with the local moms as well.  If it's anything like the knot was, this board is probably slow.

I was wondering if anyone out there knows if 2nd Time Around (the consignment shop) has a maternity section?

    I am not sure...I went in there before when I was preggo but I don't remember seeing much....Personally I just bought some regular clothes a size up (because they are cuter!) and I got some maternity stuff from Old Navy...and wore lots of athletic pants (esp. at the end!).  I didn't get uber huge because he was 4 weeks early, but don't spend a ton of money on that stuff!

    i don't think they do, im not showing much and i cant wait till i am but i have been looking on craigslist and ebay and have found some stuff but cant justify spending the $ on stuff i cant use now:) i wonder if those mom to mom sales they have all around town sells maternity clothes?

    I tried the larger clothing idea and it did not work for me!  Especially pants...to get them bigger for your belly, the butt is bigger and bags on you and the crotch is longer and rubs on your legs.....NOT comfortable.  I LOVED maternity pants.  I would consider at least 3 pairs of pants that you can rotate through your wardrobe.  Also, have you tried the Bella band?

    I'm hoping not to spend a ton on maternity clothes, but I have to dress in at least a nice top and dress pants for work.  Went to Target to get a belly band this weekend and they were out of black, so I gotta hit another one in the area.

    I'm hoping my SIL and friends who are about done might loan/sell me some of their clothes...when I tell them I'm pregnant.

    oh yeah, for pants the bigger clothes eventually didn't work so I did the maternity pants.  I carried directly in front so I just stretched the crap out of some regular clothes (up one size).

    There is a second time around store in Okemos, off Marsh Road by Meijer.  They do have a maternity section, I was there a few weeks ago.  They don't have a lot, but they do have some stuff.  Good Luck
