Hi ladies - for those of you with little girls, did they have what seemed like a "period" during their first few weeks of life? Our pedi said this is normal and can last 3-5 days. We are on day 5 and the blood is much less than before but I am still worried of course. It is so unnerving to see blood in your baby's diaper for any reason!

M had it, but it was like a spot for 2 days. If you're concerned, definitely call the pedi.

Mallory had a spot or two of blood for the first few days as well.

DD is on her way to 2!

I read it was very common and was surprised not to see it w/ DD (I mean, she had like everything else, why not) but as for amount, I'm not sure...
