Pregnant after a Loss

Feeling a little calmer now.....

Just got the call from my doctor......

I had my 2nd HCG level done today it went from 177 on Monday to 695 today!!! Wahoo!!.

My progesterone level dropped from 30 to 25. Nurse said not to worry since I am so early pregnant (4wks and 4 days) Of course I am a little!! Any one have this happen in the beginning? I read that it can fluctuate.I went at 7am for blood work this time, the other day was 3pm. Does time matter??

I know I should just be happy with that my numbers doubled but of course there is always that "thought" of negative that pops up after you had a loss.

Thanks Ladies and Congratulations to you all.

  • Those are great Betas.  I had my progresterone hover about 19 to 24 with supplements, so I am sure you are just fine.  Yeah for good numbers!

  • Progesterone definitely fluctuates, and since your level is nice and strong, I wouldn't worry about it. If your doctor isn't worried, I wouldn't worry. Congratulations!

  • Yup, progesterone goes up and down all the time, but both your numbers for that look good. Congrats!
  • Progesterone does fluctuate, and the time of the day can matter so I hope both of those help you worry less.  Also, when my progesterone levels went down in previous pregnancies, they were only really worried about it because my Hcg was horrible too.  If my numbers had gone up as amazingly as yours have I doubt they would have looked twice!  Also, those are both plenty high enough for progesterone.  I hope you get more good news soon!
  • Thank you everybody....I am hoping the good news continues to come for all of us!
