So check this out...I'm watching this crazy show and yes sometimes I can understand oh okay I can see how she didn't know she was pregnant but other times I'm like..really???? So this chick who smoked 2 packs a day and drank the whole time she was pregnant, is home alone starts having sharp abdominal pains. Instead of GOING to the hospital or calling 911 she gets in a hot tub to see if that will help with the pain. Well of course that didn't help, so she's on the bathroom floor screaming and crying and yes she begins to deliver a baby. Well out comes the baby, she then cuts the umbilical cord tying it off with dental floss and sniping it with a pair of scissors. Does she call 911? Does she call her husband who is out of town? Her mom? NO! She goes to her bed and goes to sleep with the baby in her arms. She eventually calls her husband the next day and says "I've got a surprise for you when you get home". She proceeds for the next 2 days without telling anyone, "caring" for the baby she didn't even knew she was pregnant with. Her husband comes home and she's like "oh honey look its a baby" He of course is like OMG WTF! Rushes her to the hospital. She was on the verge of having a stroke due to develping preeclampsia when she was delivering and get this..the placenta was still intact....and the baby was put in ICU. I'm thinking to myself...really? Is this for real?? Are there really people out there that would do this??? Unbelievalbe.
Re: From that show "I didn't know I was pregnant" crazy story!
WHAT?!?!?!?!?
Ok that has got to be the craziest story I've heard yet!!
This is what I am thinking.
My BFP Chart
That is just disturbing.
In most cases I can understand some of the ladies for not knowing about their situation, but it is quite obvious that in this case the mom is an idiot.
omg I'm picturing the episode as I'm reading it.. and getting so sick to my stomach! can you imagine this... omg!!!
how stupid this girl was!
I DVR this show, and I haven't seen that episode yet so I'm definitley going to be looking through the list & find it.
I used to be in disbelief by these women, but now I skip watching it most of the time because I get angry at the show. I think it is irresponsible of them to showcase these women who "didn't know they were pregnant" (and I agree, in some cases, I can understand) HOWEVER.... they never show a child that is born with a disability, minor or major. There was only ONE instance I can remember where a baby had developmental delays, and there was a health scare, but she turned out to be perfectly healthy.
I don't want to see a baby that has health problems any more than the next mother, but those who watch this show think "Gosh, she did EVERYTHING you're advised not to do and her baby is fine!" While women (like ourselves) watch our every move and still experience paranoia.
Wow. I just got heated.
