I've had a crappy week, but today I am SOOO thankful for my dog going number two in the rain. We have struggled with that so much lately - she doesn't like to get her paws wet or muddy. But she went and I couldn't be a happier pet momma at this moment.
I am thankful for my family and friends and that I got to celebrate my birthday and carve pumpkins with Ben. Sometimes I think about how I thought I would never be doing any of those things with my child, and never wash or see little kids clothes in my house. I'm so thankful that my wish came true and I have a son.
I'm also thankful that my kindergarten kids are being good this week even though we've had community helpers come in and throw off our routine and they are very excited about Halloween.

I am thankful that I get to start the day with good morning smiles from DD and that we will finally be able to celebrate Christmas with a child! For the past 4 Christmases we've wondered if it was our last "childless" Christmas. We never would have believed this time last year that we would be parents of a beautiful little girl!

I remember our first Christmas with Ben. It was so special. I'm so glad you're going to get to experience it this year. I know you agree that the wait was certainly worth getting to see those beautiful smiles now.
