  The mattress that it has is pretty soft and it selevated when its a bassinet so its even softer, we did get sheets though.

  I'm getting sheets, but not a mattress. I don't think I've seen a mattress for a PnP, but I could be wrong!

  I am not using one for a bassinet but if I were I think I would actually buy the mattress...the floor that comes with my Pack n Play feels horrible. I have seen the mattresses at Burlington Coat Factory Baby Depot

  Yes there are sheets specifically for a PNP. I registered for a thicker quilted PNP sheet from BrU.

  We will have our PnP in our bedroom for the first couple of weeks and will use the bassinet part/ newborn napper for LO. We will be getting the PnP sheets made for the PnP by Graco (Baby Depot sells them @ $9.99) but no mattress. I am not sure how safe another mattress would be considering that the bassinet is elevated and attached to the PnP. It is recommened by most Dr's that a firm yet slightly soft mattress is used for newborns and this is why we like the mattress that already comes with the PnP. Read Baby Bargains, they go over all the safety stuff. Good luck!
