When you're in your 'fertile zone' before ovulation do you have sex every day or every other day? Or just whenever it seems right?

    unless your man has known sperm issues, I'd say everyday

    you could ask this over on 1st tri though if you want some more PG ladies' opinions.

    We've tried different things....everyday, two days-skip a day-O day, every other day.

    2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
    TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
    Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    We try for everyday during my "fertile" time, but sometimes that just doesn't work out so we have to be satisfied with every other.  Been at it for 7 cycles and done it both ways with no BFP yet, so who knows!

    I have tried it both ways, no success yet. I'm thinking this cycle, no charting, no opk, and dh and I will roleplay being strangers at a bar, get drunk ,have unprotected sex and end up with a whoops. LOL we'll see.

    We try to do it every day when I have a +OPK but every other day during the rest of the fertile period.  If you can do every day, good for you!  I find it exhausting.

    Ha! It's funny, I have asked people whether it's okay to drink while trying and I have gotten multiple answers along the lines of, "Drinking contributes to so many pregnancies -- you should give it a try!" Doesn't sound like a bad idea ...

    Now that you mention it, it DID work for my ex-FI ( hence the ex). Maybe I should see if DH wants to give this a go.

    You can check out my BFP chart in ym siggy. I went a couple months and had sex every day--didn't work for us for those months. We did it a lot the month we actually conceived.

    This seems to work for people not TTC.  I think it's a great idea.  Please let us know if it works. Stick out tongue

    I've been told to do it every other day, you don't want to water down the swimmers. But whatever works I guess. I would ask the doc what they think, you may get a better scientific explanation, lol

    I dont tell DH when I'm ovulating, and I don't push things to happen if they aren't going to happen. But lately we usually have sex every day anyway (he is out of town 1-2 weeks a month, so when we are together, we like to be together!) Sometimes twice a day even... If things don't work out in a few cycles of trying like this, I may start telling him and going at it a little 'scientifically'...
