grey walls in nursery

I'm thinking of painting our nursery walls a light grey.  Our crib/furniture are black and I would like to do a gender neutral nursery.  I am hoping to put in some color with the curtains and rug.  I'm worried, however, that the grey will be too gloomy...

Anyone have pictures of  your nursery with grey walls?? TIA

    There is a fairly recent post on spearmintbaby.com of a nursery with grey walls.  I think they are even a darker grey and look beautiful!

    My nursery isn't grey, but my living room is.  It's this light grey with a hint of blue and it is lovely...not gloomy at all.  If my living room wasn't already grey, I for sure would have done the nursery in a grey color.  I think you should definitely go for it, and like you said, just add in color in rugs, curtains, bedding, etc.  Oranges, yellows, and blues look particularly nice with gray.  Good luck!

    I have half grey walls and espresso colored furniture.  I love the grey!

    I'm planning on grey, too! I think it'll be very modern looking and with the right accents will look lovely. I have some decals in mind that will also pop on the color!

    i think gray is beautiful. It is a neutral just like beige. Plus, there are so many shades of gray, that you will be able to find one that isn't so "gloomy."

    I think grey is a great neutral! If you want to avoid the "gloom" pick a warm shade of grey (red, orange undertones) instead of a cool one (blue, purple undertones).

    We are doing a lightish grey wall too. I think it will be beautiful with our black furniture, and new bright white chair rail moulding that's going up next week.
