When did you start decorating you nursery?

Hi Ladies,

I have not had my shower yet, and yes I am starting to freak out!! I have purchased some outfits and cute onsies but the room is empty its scary! I think my shower may be this weekend but I was just curious when everyone started decorating or when the room was complete?

We aren't starting ours until next week or the week after. My shower is the 14th. I'm trying to not stress over it, especially since it doesn't have to be perfect before the LO arrives. Good luck!

I'm not as far along as you, but have had the glider sitting in the empty room for a few months (I was able to get it on sale) and as I write this, the nursery is getting painted today!! I've purchased some odds and ends that are sitting in the closet on the shelf (baskets, few books) but I intend to order the crib and dresser/change table next week. Oh, i've had a bookshelf cubby I got from Lowes 2 weeks back, but it's still in the box in the garage... so, I guess you could say I'm starting now to decorate the nursery (and no, i've not had any showers yet).. GL to you!

I'm 30 weeks right now and we are in the process of painting the room now. Furniture is already delivered and sitting in our dining room...LOL. My goal is to have the room painted this weekend and furniture put together in the next 2 weeks or so. By Thanksgiving I would like everything done, so that would put me at 34 weeks.

So far we have built the closet and have his clothes hanging, installed a ceiling fan and have painted the stripes. The crib bedding just arrived in last night and we're ordering the furniture next weekend. Once the furniture is in, we'll hang the photo ledges and our wall decor items.

It won't be completely finished until mid-December since my shower is on December 5th (I'll be 35 weeks).

We started thinking about it/looking for things around week 25...and I'm now at 36+ weeks and it's not done so don't stress!

I figure we have the crib, crib sheets, some onesies and blankets so we're good on the absolute requirements and the rest will come together...

Our nursery will be pretty much complete by Dec 1. We are just waiting for our furntiure to be delivered and I know that my mom bought our bedding and will be giving that to me at my shower on Nov 14. So I will be 31 weeks when it is all done (I am slightly OCD about having things done super early). Although we will still have a lot of other stuff to do!

Unfortunately, we will be moving when I'm about 28-30 weeks, so we will have to do the nursery last minute too. We'll have our LO in a bassinet in our room for the first few months, so there's technically no rush, but I really want to get it all set up before she's born. I'm ready to start "nesting"...and Lord knows I probably won't have much time for decorating once she's here lol

We just finished painting her room and puting up the chair rails.. it turned out great.. All we are missing is the furniture to be delivered.. Tomorrow we are starting to build her closet organizer..
