I was JUST thinking that I would like the name Adalyn! Weird. I love the name Madalyn and Madeline, but they're so popular. I saw someone else on here with a DD named Adeline and I thought that was really cute too. I also like someone else's name of Liliana. DH really loves the name Addyson.
Boys I like: Cole, Noah, Mason - but DH doesn't like any of them!

I've been reading the baby names book and calling out interesting names to DH who shoots them all down. So far, girls names seem to be the only ones that are working (I'm up to the Ms for boys).
Girl: Eva, Emma (DH loves it, but I think it's too popular) and Monika top our list.
Boys: DH loves Martin, but I'm not convinced. He doesn't like anything that rhymes with Aiden, so that rules out a whole bunch of names. Matthew is also in the running.
Edit: Our middle names are already (nearly) set in stone.
Boy: Adolf (DH's middle name, and his father's name)
Girl: Serafina (DH's grandmother's name), or Eileen (my grandmother's name).
DH and I have had our names picked out for a while, even before I got pregnant. They seem really plain compared to most names I see on here, but we like them. And they'll be easy for the kids.
Boy: David Jeffrey (would have DH's older brother's name, but he died a few hours after birth)
Girl: Clare Elise (I insisted on the Irish spelling
I'm convinced that I'm having a boy, so I have secretly already named him Darren. DH doesn't really like the name, but I am not budging. If I have to, I will just put it on the birth certificate papers before DH realizes when I'm doing. LOL.

This is how its been for me. We've agreed on a girls name of "Leah Elizabeth Og...n" Elizabeth is my moms name. But for a boy, he'll say he likes a name I give him, but then changes his mind, we have yet to find a boy name that he's okay with. He seems to think he can't name his child after anyone he knows with the same name but if you like a name you should be able to use it as long as its not a cousins name or something.
I LOVE Jacob, Max, Austin, Jackson, Mason, Oliver, but he has shot them all down.
We are still exploring names, but here's some we both like:
Boys: Dylan or Ziggy.
Girls: Elle, Sloane, Julia or Juliet.
DH wants to discuss names every second, but I'm more laid back about it. We have so long still. We aren't for sure deciding on anything until baby is born, we'll just narrow it down.
The fight is on! (at least for boys names) DH is Francis Joseph II...and he wants a third! UGH! I HATE his name (he does NOT look like a Frank, which is what he goes by). I blame FIL for that one. He always told DH "when you have #3"...LAME! I really want David Lee(my great uncle and grandfather's name...and the poor guy needs someone to carry on some kind of family name. He had 3 girls and 3 granddaughters) but am willing to have Francis as a middle name instead. DH isn't budging.
For girl's we are pretty much on the same page. Leah Mae is my fave (both my grandmother's names). Others in the running are Elizabeth Mae, Emma Lea (pronounced Lee...spelled the same as my middle), or Susanna Lea. Just a few we are throwing around...and luckily he has no problem with ANY of those names! WOOHOO, lets hope its a girl!
It is really up in the air between Max and Jax. Dh would really like the mn to be Robert after his grandpa who recently passed away. I just feel that Max Robert sounds too "old manish" Jax Robert is close to Max but sounds a little younger? Is anybody with me on this?

I like Jax actually. I might have to steal it. Lol.
The baby names board seems like it's only in favor of very beautiful, classic, traditional, popular names. Nothing wrong with those, but most of the girls I knew with the really popular names in high school hated being in a class with 5 or 6 others!
Anyways, with that being said here are a few names we're considering.
Boy: Gage is the front runner. We're considering a family name for the first name and using Gage as the middle, but calling the kid Gage. Truitt Gage, Samuel Gage, Nicholas Gage, Gregory Gage are all options
Girl: My maiden name is Blair which we want to use for the middle name. Lila is the front runner for the first name. So Lila Blair. We also both like Grace. I love the name Arden but it rhymes with our last name which is no good.
Boy: Jackson William. The men in DH's family are all J... William so we're following the tradition.
Girl: Emma Grace. I want that as the first name (like Ann Marie or Mary Beth) and have a different middle name, but DH wants Grace as the middle name. DH's great-grandma was Emma. I'd like Madeline as the middle name - love the name but our last name is M-n so it would sound weird as a first name.
DD is Isabelle Katherine. My mom, grandma, and great-grandma are Isabelle/a and my dad's grandmas were both Katherine.
The names I like are Rileigh Grace and Alyssa Noel for a girl and Austin Michael for a boy but no one likes them but me haha...
DandaLion- My brother did the whole keeping the same name thing for his son so we have 3 Nathan Eugene's and on my nephew we call him Tre(tres 3 in spanish)...maybe you all could do something like that if he wont budge.
Neither will have nicknames if we can help it. I have a name that people automatically shorten, and I hate it...so we're going to try to avoid that.
Lillian = lilly.
My friend has that name and EVERYONE shortens it even if she tells them "my name is lillian"

Our Blog
If it's a boy it will be Jack after my husbands grandfather who passed away when my DH was a little boy.
Girl...Many years ago I read a biography on Ava Gardner and fell in love with the name. I shared it with my DH when we were still dating and we've been referring to our daughter as Ava for years. How was I to know that it would become the 5th most popular name?! I think that its more popular than I'd like to go, but my DH won't budge. We've been calling her that for so long he can't see any other options.
The boy is a given, since my husband literally told me when we first met that his son would be named after his father, since he is named after his father's father...it's a Greek thing.
So;
Boy = Ioannis George (Normally Ioannis is nicknamed as: John or Yianni, but we're going for Ian or Ioan)
Girl name is undecided...but were thinking about;
Girl - Louise (My great-grandmother), my husband likes Panayota (female version of Peter in Greek, also his grandmother's name. He has many good memories as a little boy visiting her in Greece before she died.)
