I'm so not creative and good at this stuff. My DS has his 6 month pics at the beginning of December and I thought I better plan ahead if I needed to find something fun or different for him to wear for the pictures. I'm just not sure what that something fun or different should be.
Can you ladies give me any suggestions or show me a pic of what your DS wore? We're using a professional photog and having them taken at her studio. Her literature mentioned diaper covers, although I'm not sure if 6 months is too old for that kind of prop. How about hats? Any ideas or help you could give would be great!
Re: how to dress DS for 6 month pics?
I've seen LO's as old as 1 year with just the diaper covers- and those seem to be some of the cutest pics to me. Fashions change so you don't want to necessarily 'date' your baby. Since it's near Christmas diid you think of some sort of holiday outfit so you can use it for christmas cards too?
Otherwise simple things like a cute little baby sweater and jeans/khakis looks good. But i still vote for the diaper cover idea- and maybe some cute props- stuffed animals, pumpkins (similar to your siggy pic), if you have any animals..etc

I have DD's 6 month pic as my siggy. We like to dress her up for her pictures. She also wore it to her uncle's wedding this summer. We're going on Friday and she's going to get her pictures taken with just her little pink diaper and then with her Thanksgiving dress.
For a boy I think that it would be cute to do the diaper cover idea. I'm sure since the photographer recommended it, she has some cute idea for it. It would also be cute to do khakis and a sweater or maybe some kind of cute hat.
I took my own 6mo pics - in siggy - I scouted the internet for ideas on dress ups and made my own tutu. It cost $40 for the materials.
I have taken her to one of the free portrait sittings, they type which charge $50 per photo & re-create the ideas at home. I'm so cheap LOL.
For her newborn pics I googled and took the ideas from there.
