Preemies

feel free to contribute!! RSV to-do list.

I'm starting my "list of things to do to keep a preemie mom sane during RSV season" list.  I'll be working on it all day and I will add things to the list as I think of them.  If you have any ideas, throw them out here.  I know some people have given ideas already.

  • I know tops on my list is organizing all of our paperwork/files before tax season. Although I'm not sure if that's going to help or hurt my sanity lol

  • My idea doesn't involve the actual babies but mom & dad.

*Make sure you and DH give each other turns on going out with friends etc. and if you can get a baby-sitter every now and than do it. Go out even if it's to go grocery shopping together or out to dinner for a couple of hours.

My DH & I would take turns getting out of the house to go socialize. In the beginning it was tough but once our babies were on a more predictable scheudle it was easy to leave once they went to bed. Plus my mom would come over on Friday nights and after they went to sleep we would go get dinner or do some errands together. It was nice to just get out of the house even if the babies couldn't.

The rules were the same for coming home though - before touching the babies we would do a complete change of clothes and wash up hands and face. If I was around children I would take a hot shower. Most of the time this wouldn't matter because my kids were in bed.
