I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. I had some great coupons/sale/rebate so I bought a pack of Huggies Natural fit diapers thinking they would be better then the Snug&Fit. No, same. This morning Bri had a total blow out, which she never has. Out the front, out the back, down the legs... but there was almost nothing IN the diaper. The stupid things also give her diaper wedgie! They aren't very soft. I bought a big box of Snug&fit for Ty a couple months ago, half the box is still in his closet because they suck.
At least I didn't make the mistake of buying Luvs again! Luvs has their Leak protection guarentee. A friend of mine gave them a try on her twin girls, both LEAKED. So she calls Luvs about the guarentee, the representative insisted that they leaked because she was using the wrong size diaper! The girls fell right in the middle of the weight listed on the box! And the representative also said something along the lines of her probably not putting the diaper on correctly. Um yeah, the twins are #3 and #4. By the time you are on your third or so kid I think you figured everything there is to know about putting on a diaper!
Re: Why do Huggies just suck so bad!!
I didn't think the Target brand were too bad. I actually really like Price Chopper Supreme brand for a while, DH really like those because they had color changing bones that indicated the diaper was wet. But I used to watch a little boy whos mom used Target brand based on Baby Bargains' recommendation. He had persistant diaper rash, it lasted for weeks. Finally she saw the 'diaper rash' specialist at her pedi office, I guess the guy actually writes papers and give lectures to other pedis about diaper rash. He told her to use specifically Pampers brand, no more generics! She made the switch that night and the rash was gone in a couple days.
I had problems with Huggies, too. Their Preemie size was horrible - no inner elastic, just outer. DS peed through every single pair of pajamas we had the first night he was home. Later, I found that they always seemed to fit smaller than the Pampers. I liked the Huggies Overnights, but they are so stiff compared to the Pampers.
And Luvs - my mom bought a pack to have at her house. They easily fit a size smaller than Huggies or Pampers.
Wow! How stupid about the Luvs guarantee. I hate Huggies too.. I have only used Samples thus far..
I need to move Eve to the next size pampers cuz she is peeing through/out the back at night..

Oh no! We have been using pampers baby dry and when she has a big poop it goes up the back! I just bought some huggies hoping the would work
What is our problem if they go out the back? The poop used to come out the leg holes too but hasn't lately and I assumed her legs were just too skinny before.

Could be size. But really the only diapers that work the way I want them to is Pampers swaddlers, I don't like Baby Dry very much. But they aren't bad.
Pampers now makes two new cruisers that would work for overnight. They make a cruiser with extra absorbancy AND they now make a cruisers overnight!!!

We were having the same problem at night, we use Pampers Swaddlers during the day. So I tried out the new Fisher Price Happy Nights Diapers, and they work great! No more leaks at night!
I haven't tried them for during the day yet because the smallest they come is size 3, and DD isn't quite there yet.
