How did you tell DH?

How did you tell SO that you were pregnant? Did you do something clever or have your LO wear something that said "big sister?" Did you do something different the second time around than you did with baby #1?

I was sitting on the couch when he got home and I was reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I told him there was a cool pic he needed to see and had the test sitting on the page.

The first time around we found out the day we came back from our honeymoon, which also happened to be fathers day. So, I basically wished him a happy fathers day!

This time around, I was in the bathroom and he was in the kitchen. He pretty much heard me screaming "omfg" and "oh shiit!" and figured it out on his own. lol

This - it was 6am.....I had been charting and saw that my temp went way up so I went into the bathroom, took the test, came running out and then started jumping on him. It was almost a complete year later and there was no way I was waiting any longer to tell him.

My m/s started really early, like 3 week early. I was testing at home & they all came up BFN. I finally got sent home from work because I was so sick. It was his day off so he took me to the doc. They tested by blood there & came into the room & told us. So, I didn't get to tell him myself. He was super excited & I was crying hysterical scared.

We waited and checked the test at the same time for #1 and for #2 DH looked at the test and then came and told me!

1st time- I got him a parenting book for father's, he got the hint:) Unfortunately that preg ended in m/c

2nd time- I was late, I knew I was pregnant, I told him.

3rd time- Me-"I'm going to have a heart attack"

DH- "Why what's wrong?"

Me- "I'm pregnant"

I didn't know what to say. DH didn't know that I took the test, I just felt like I needed to take one so I did. When it came up positive I freaked out, lol. I called him upstairs and just handed him the test. He took it much better then I did. (He was excited. I was flipping out and cursed my Nuvaring for two weeks.)

I honestly did not think I was pregnant, and it was our first month of trying and I was not expecting to get pregnant so quickly. But, I was late... I was going to test on my birthday but couldn't wait so I tested the day before... at 5:30 in the morning!

When I saw the little blue + sign I seriously could not believe it... I grabbed a pair of baby socks (I had bought them like three years prior lol, they were just too cute) and went into the bedroom. I put the socks on my fingers and walked the socks around DH's chest... he thought I was handing him Kleenex. When he realized they were baby socks, he said, "really???" and gave me a gigantic hug. He was excited but also really tired and went back to bed LOL. I still do not know how he was able to go back to sleep, I was bouncing off the walls.

I, on the other hand, walked to Rite Aid (pharmacy) up the street and bought two more tests just to make sure the first was was right!

I was charting and my temps stayed up when AF was due to arrive, which DH knew. So I took a test while we were getting ready together in the bathroom. We were brushing our teeth to pass the time and i checked and it said pregnant. I said "oh sh!t" and dh knew it was positive.
