Today I went to a H1N1 clinic to get my vaccine. When I walked into the room to get the shot the nurse was like, "So are you a health care worker? Or why are you getting this vaccine?" I looked at her like, "Uh, no, I'm pregnant."
She said she didn't want to offend me if I wasn't. Pretty sure that it is obvious that I'm pregnant, geez lady! And she is a nurse! Granted, I did have a baggy shirt on but it is still obvious. Besides the fact that the form you fill out has a question on it asking if you are pregnant.
I just don't understand people sometimes.
Re: Apparently at 33 weeks I don't look pregnant...
lol, yeah, you definately look pregnant.
Maybe she had a bad experience with a NON-pregnant person once and it scarred her for life?
That would be so weird if she asked her to show her bump! Haha, Idk I guess I would feel like an idiot saying "Sorry, but I have to see your stomach." I don't think I could do it :-p
I never, ever assume someone is pregnant. One time my Mom did and it turned out the woman had just delivered a few days earlier, so still looked pretty pregnant. My Mom felt SO bad. It's just not worth hurting someone's feelings.
No, and if she had I probably would have smacked her! There was a lady who didn't even have a bump, just bloat in front of me and another nurse said, "Oh, you are a pregnant lady! That's why you are here."
