  • Actual shots or mist? DH took Reagan to get mist yesterday and they still weren't sure when shots would be in for Abby.

This irritates me.  If pregnant women and small children are more at risk, then why is it being offered on a first come first serve basis to ANYONE?  I'd like to get it, but I am not going to wait hours at the City Health and Human Services Office and miss a day of work for it.  I wonder if doctor's offices will be receiving any making it more attainable for those at risk?

The way I understood it from the news last night was that they got a huge shipment of the nasal spray. That is first come first serve. The small quantities of injectible are reserved for the at risk pregnant women and small children.

I waited 2 hours to get the shot at the health dept.  It was all first come, first serve.  They were not only giving it to at risk people.  I was disappointed in that.  My doctor today was shocked I found a shot and was happy I got it.  Her office received some, but they only received enough to vaccinate the staff.  I'm curious to see if OB offices will end up getting enough to actually vaccinate their patients.

  • Rumor is that there should be enough supply to go around in a few more weeks....*keeping fingers crossed*  I hope my OB and our pedi gets it next month.

  • I got mine at work today.

I wish they had a better system in place so the vaccine could be distributed to at-risk groups first, but I've heard the rumors too - there should be more than enough to go around in the next couple of weeks. I hope it's true.
