Any one know where to get the H1N1 flu shot? I live in macomb, 48044... My dr office has the regular shot, which I already got. But was looking to get the other, Any direction for me?
Our dr posted on their website to contact the Macomb County Health Dept.'s Flu Hotline (586) 466-7923 they are located at 43525 Elizabeth Road, right next to the Macomb Sheriff's office/prison.
I just looked on the Macomb County Health Dept. website & I don't see anything about when the vaccine will be available (or if it already is). ??? Unless I'm completely overlooking something!
The H1N1 shot is not available here in Michigan yet. The Gov't is making all providers go through a "training" before they will give them the shots.
OB offices are training this week since they will be first to get them. My OB's office will have them Friday.......
After that, they will then start with the next "high risk" category, which is children and caregivers of infants under 6 months.....so that will be the pedi's offices.....from there then I guess they would start giving them to local docs and family physicians....
I'm guessing that unless you are PG, it will be a couple of weeks until its available......
