I need recs for DS 1 year old photos I would love to have it professionally done, but that is just not in the cards. Any recs for places and your favorite photographer there for inexpensive photo places? I am thinking JcPenney or Picture Innovations.
TIA!

My Blog! All about my girls and quilting
We are going to try Picture Innovations. SIL/BIL have taken niece there since she was born (she's 2) and have always come away with cute pics. Their family pictures weren't even corny (like I feel Sears/JCPenney's are). I just have no clue what we are going to wear, so I haven't scheduled a time yet.
I've heard mixed reviews about Picture People. Nanann is one of the only people that I've heard positive things from. It must be because her girls are just so cute, they never have issues!
Hands down Picture People! We use their coupons and joined their portrait club (spend $40 now, save MUCH more than that in the long run). We go there all the time just for fun. I don't have any of them scanned in to the computer now but we go there at least once every 3 months and I usually don't spend more than $20 and I usually come out with about 4 - 5 poses- unless I am buying a membership renewal on top of pictures.
We LOVE picture people and if you can go when it is kind of dead it is not really stressful and they spend a lot of time with the kids.
We just took Andrew's Halloween photos at Portrait Innovations next to BRU in Sunset Valley. Our photographer was Gillian (?, I think) and she was awesome. She got tons of really great shots & it was really hard to narrow it down. Definitely make an appointment for some time during the week if you can.
They have a $9.99 package where you get tons of sheets of 1 photo. If you're strong enough to just pick one photo, I would definitely recommend going there. I wasn't as strong so I picked one shot for the package and got 2 5x7s for $15...so I ended up with two shots for $25...does that make sense? They have packages which I think start at $50 and you get (I think) 4 diferent poses with tons of sheets and even a low res cd of all your shots. I just didn't want to pay that for Halloween photos when we're going to do holiday photos next month. I haven't been anywhere else in town though, so can't give any other advice, but I really liked the session & photos.
