I was asked if I was still working. Yes still working. Still working full-time? Yes. Granted I only work three days a week, and 12 hour shifts suck, but I want to stay home with my baby for 12 weeks, so I am working until she's here.

Re: Twice at the OB's office yesterday...
I was already asked this a couple weeks ago. I can't imagine how bad it's going to get as I get bigger and bigger.
Sigh... I wish I could afford not to work!

I'm just trying to make sense of things :-)
I know!!
I think it kind of depends on what you do for a living. If you have a less physically demanding job, then I think working right on up to your due date makes total sense. I am only working until 31 weeks, but my job is kind of grueling. I am an ER nurse and work 12 hour shift where I run my tail off and am pushing heavy gurneys, dealing with combative patients at times and getting hacked on by rude people with nasty coughs that refuse to wear a mask. I think what is tough for some people, is cake for others and vice versa....just my 2 cents.
I think the people at my office were asking that because I am a nurse, and they are surprised that I am still working. I have to work, whether my job is hard or not, for financial reasons. DH has been laid off for 10 weeks.
