stupid question - baby thirst

How do you know if baby is thirsty compared to hungry?   This may be a really dumb question, but i was thinking about that on the way home from work today.

She also doesn't like anything besides formula.  everything is via bottle still, sippy cup trys = all fails

    Good questions and am interested in answers.

    I always offer water with solid lunch & dinner and with any snacks.  He's catching on to using the sippy well, and he seems to eat a little then drink a little...like he understands how it works Smile

    Right now, I don't think they know the difference. DS doesn't really care if he nurses and doesn't get solids or gets solids and doesn't nurse. I think that to them something in their mouth and being swallowed equals food so it's registered as hunger.
