Fun day ideas in Sac ??

Dh and I are putting Cam in pre-school all day on Thursday and going to spend the day together.

For the life of me I can't think of stuff to do with just him and I in Sac for the day. I would love to go to SF for the day but I don't think we will have time.

Right now I am thinking shopping at the downtown mall, lunch somewhere fun downtown and maybe a matinee ?

Any ideas !? TIA

Kevin and I do this every so often. Some things we've done: matinee, lunch at a place that we wouldn't be able to take Eve/wouldn't want to take Eve, hiking, long scenic drive, shopping (although not often because Kev doesn't really like to shop), work on the outside of the house.

I would stay home and have some me time! LOL

If not, I like your idea of downtown and some shopping and lunch. Or maybe walk around old town Folsom? Drive to Auburn and walk around - look in the shops and have lunch?

we would probably drive out to Amador for wine tasting/lunch. I know you can't really partake in the wine, but its beautiful out there. you would need to check if they are open on thursdays

Drive up 50 to the German restaurant on the side of the road (I don't remember the name)

Go Christmas shopping

I actually had typed the same thing about wine and then thought that it might just be too much!

That would be diving, but dh doesn't drink wine at all and I wouldn't be able to, so I think that is out Sad Totally would be nice another time though !

I'm not in Sac, but the last time we did this we went to lunch had a long leisurly lunch with no distractions and then went to run some errands...like costco. Not exciting at all but it was nice to spend the time together and actually get something done too so I didn't have anything hanging over my head.

But if I were in Sac, I'd probably go down town for a nice lunch and some shopping, maybe get jump start on Christmas....or just walking around down town. I really miss the Sac October weather, it was my FAVORITE time of year in Sac. Oh and I miss the shopping too...

You could do a day trip to Apple Hill. I love going to Apple Hill and miss the trips that Chris and I used to take. You'll have plenty of time since there isn't the traffic load on the weekdays.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest. DH and I went last week and had such a nice say wandering around up there.
