  my SIL gave me baby's vicks vapor rub at my baby shower (well the target brand) i would be afraid that they would put their hand in it and eat it..

  there is a vicks baby rub that we used on our LO when he was sick.  I think it helped.  I haven't heard about it in the crib though.

  I put the baby vaporub directly on my baby.  It's not a problem.  No need to call the doctor.

  i'm pretty sure she is serious. my pedi said no to vicks and she's not asking if its ok to put on baby, but put on the crib sheet.

  It's talking about the regular Vicks.  Baby Vicks does not have the camphor or menthol in it like the regular does, which I think are the irritating compounds.  Baby Vicks doesn't have the same drug labeling as regular Vapo Rub does.
