Just for fun on my lunch break. Tell your story of how you met!

I went to Univ. of Michigan freshmen orientation and didn't know anyone. I got paired up with this girl (who ended up being my MOH at my wedding) during an ice breaker. She invited me to have lunch with some of her high school friends, one of them was DH. He offered me part of his oreo milk shake and I refused (I have issues with sharing straws). He thought I was stuck up (I was shy) and I thought he was too much of a prep. When school started that fall, I hung out with my MOH a lot and he was always around. He eventually asked me out and we have been together for almost 8 years now!

Went to High School with DH he was 2 years older then me so I knew of him for years. Then when i was a senior in college I went to visit a friend at a different college close to home and he was visiting her bf. DH was home on leave from the Marines and we started talking after hanging out that first weekend. After many trips from Michigan to NC to visit himand him coming to see me we started dating. We dated though 2 deployments to Iraq then got married. We have been together for 4 years now.

We met at a bar. We both got smashed and went to Waffle House together with some of our sober mutual friends. We drunkenly exchanged numbers and I figured I'd never see him again. He called the next day just like he said he would, that impressed me, the rest is history.

I was visiting San Diego from OK w/ some friends of mine from college. DH was friends w/ my best friend's sister, whose house I was staying at. I kept joking about hooking up w/ a surfer guy. Sister called DH. I was drunk, he was drunk, we made out. By the end of the week he asked me to be his girlfriend. We moved in together 2 months later and the rest is history. Everyone thought we were crazy, but when you know, you know. We've been together 4 1/2 years now.

We all got together with a friend who was visiting from out of town, and my friend brought DH to keep me occupied so he could try to hook up with my friend who was with me. Our first kiss was that night (it was in June), but we didn't officially start dating until October. He just couldn't get me out of his mind. Stick out tongue

DH and have went to elementary school together, not junior high, but high school and community college. We're friends all through high school and C. college. After that I did not see him for like two years, became friends with his sis in that time and well here we are....

My friend from uni was dating a guy from her hometown (in another province). He came to visit and brought 5 of his guy friends in November... DH and I locked eyes at the airport and ended up spending the night (and subsequent weekend) with each other. When the weekend was over he got on a plane and told me he'd call, and I just chalked it up to a fun weekend.

He called, we kept chatting. I stopped by his place one night on my drive home from uni (December). He came out to visit me for a week a couple months later (March). We met in NYC for another week (May). I traveled around Europe for 2.5 months then he flew out to see me for another week (September). Then came the ultimatum...

I moved to be with him in October...

We've been together a total of 5 years now! It was a crazy whirlwind but I now believe in love at first sight!

We met online. He was in Iraq on his first deployment. He came home, we just talked on the phone..dated other people. He got deployed a 2nd time, and we still talked. The week he came home, we went on our first date together and were married 6 months later. His family still doesnt know how we met..haha. They say "you met pervs online"..if they only knew!

It was the first semester of freshman year of college (1998). We both were at a local Waffle House after going to the bars (with different groups of friends). I was actually on a double date with a friend of mine and two guys she knew. Then DH comes into the Waffle House and slides into a booth and bangs his knee really hard on the table. I started laughing. The guys we went out with left and my friend and I started talking to DH and his group of friends. It turned out we lived in the same dorm and had a class together. We dated that whole first semester then broke up when I transferred schools. We were still friends and kept in touch. 6 years later (2004) we were both single and decided to meet up for a drink. We started dating again and moved in together in 2005, and got married in 2006.

My best friend used to meet guys online all.the.time (I know - scary). But she would always tell them to bring a friend, and she made me tag along. Usually the guys were total nerds or idiots...but this time was different. I met DH when we were 16 and we instantly became friends. We hung out ALOT, but were "friends with benefits" for years (I always had another boyfriend so wasn't technically available). I'm a bad girl, I know.

When I left for college we stopped talking. The summer I graduated he came to my parent's house asking if I still lived there? My mom told him yes, and that I was just at work and had just graduated college, etc. She got his number for me and left a note on my door that read, "Paul Presson came by today looking for you. He looked really cute! His number is XXX, give him a call!" I was shocked that he came by, and called him the next day. We started hanging out again, since I was single we started dating seriously. After about 6 months of dating, he asked me to move in with him. 1 month later he proposed. The rest is history. Smile

Sophomore year of college. He was my friends ex-bfs roomate. She was cooking dinner and called a bunch of people to come over. He was the only one that agreed to come, even though he was eating at the time. So he came over and we met and hung out. He just broke up with his gf and I had a bf so we were friends for a little bit. Then a month later after spending almost every day together, we were both single and he asked me out. It was cute.

We actually met one time before this. A year before I went to a different friend's dorm room and he was in there because he was friends with her. Then also before we met I was suppose to go to a party at his then gf's apartment but didn't have a ride. Lots of "almost" encounters, and mutual friends that we didn't know we had, so we figured we were meant to be.
