3rd Trimester

When was your baby head down?

Right now, Nugget is transverse.  I'm pretty sure that by now DD was head down.

MW isn't concerned about position, because baby is still small enough that s/he could be doing gymnastics in there if s/he wanted to.  Plus, I'm fine with doing versions and other tricky techniques to get baby positioned well, so it's not like I'm worried... yet.

When did your LO get to head down?

Re: When was your baby head down?

  • 30 weeks.  LO likes using my bladder for a pillow.

  • 32 Weeks baby was head down....and he has stayed that way.

  • LO has been head down since 33 weeks. But they don't really start to worry about them not being able to flip until 36 weeks, so you've got plenty of time. Even then, babies have been known to flip right before a c-section!
  • At my appointment at about 31 weeks my MW let me know LO was head down!
  • Our LO has been head down for our past two u/s (28wks & 32wks), but I can feel her flipping around in there still, so its hard to tell if she will stay that way.

  • He turned sometime between 30-32 weeks... and now I have a tiny little butt sticking out right under my ribs
  • my little guy likes to use my left lungs as a pillows while I lay down! he's breech as of now...

  • At my 28 appt yesterday they said he was head down.
  • I guess I'm fortunate. Mine has been head down since the 22 week ultrasound appt. I'm just hoping he doesn't decide to turn over in the next 3 weeks or so. He likes his feet in my ribs.

  • She was breech at 28 wks, head down at 30wks, and is now breech again at 32 wks. My MW said yesterday that they don't start getting concerned until 35 wks.
  • He's been head down since my OB started checking position around 26wks, I think?
  • She turned from transverse to head down at 34 weeks. She was starting to worry me!

  • At our 28 week sono she was head down.... still head down

  • I think he's been head down for a while.  This is based on his legs pushing against my right side all day and the fact that when he has the hiccups it's in my cervix.
  • 27 weeks my baby was head down, and still is now.

  • He was breech at 28 weeks and head down by 33 weeks. He's stayed that way ever since!

I started doing some spinningbabies techniques starting at 28 weeks. Maybe it helped, maybe not, but some of the stretches were really soothing!

  • My OB first checked for head down at the 33 week appt and she's been that way since.  I'm hoping she doesn't decide to get tricky and flip cause I had a version with my DS and it was not comfy!!!
  • Don't think LO's head down yet.  Feels like transverse.  DD was pretty much always head down.

  • Lo was tranz at last appt. 26 weeks. But there has been a lot of major movement in there over the past week and terrible kicking in the ribs. I think he may have turned. ::fingers crossed::
  • 34ish weeks, I think. She was always breech, sideways, diagonal - anything BUT head down the entire pregnancy. Luckily she's settled in, though it still feels like she somersaults all day!
  • He's been head-down for about six weeks now. I'm high-risk and I get an ultrasound every two weeks. I'm pretty sure he's been head down for the last two or three scans.

  • Mine was transverse at a 21-week anatomy scan and head down by 25 weeks. Doc said she could still roll around, but most of the super hard kicks I feel are up high, so I think she's still in the right position.

  • As of today (33 weeks, 4 days) LO is still breech.  They are giving her 2 weeks to turn on her own.  If she isn't head down by 11/9, they will either attempt an ECV or schedule a c-section for 39 weeks.
