update: swallow study and upper GI tract test

Just finished swallow study and upper gi tract test. He is aspirating when he eats so we are now thickening his milk to nectar consistency (we were doing that for reflux...only change is in kind of thickener we are using bc of milk protein intolerance). Waiting for ENT consult to see check into reasons for aspiration (possibly more tests). Waiting on upper GI tract results. Immediate thought is that fevers and apnea are due to aspirating. GL! DS aspirates when he drinks too. He was a sick, sick little boy last fall, but once we started thickening his liquids things have gotten SO much better! Keep us posted!
