My LO didn't poop for over 24 hours and I got concerned and called and they said it was normal and just to call if it goes over 3 days. Well I spent almost 48 hours of her grunting and squirming before she finally took the most massive dump. I was considering the mylicon for her so it's probably just from the formula and him starting to poop less. I've only heard that the mylicon should help.
Hmm...haven't heard of the Mylicon drops constipating. I'd probably blame the formula. However, infrequent poops are totally okay, but really hard, difficult poops are not cool. As long as the BM is soft (gross, I know) you're good.
My first kiddo, even as a bf'd baby, only pooped every 2-3 days. The doc seemed to think that as long as it looked okay, then it was what was normal for him, and we shouldn't worry.
Ok, I went throught this last week with DS and I googled Mylicon and constipation. Many people have complained about this and as soon as I started using Mylicon as needed, DS pooped better. Hope this helps!
I've never heard of Mylicon constipating. That being said, we switched DD's formula from Enfamil to Good Start at H's age because she stopped pooping/had pretty solid poops. Once we did, she was like a whole new woman. Three times a day seems like a lot, but maybe my kid's just a one-hit wonder with her giant poops.
Re: Does Mylicon usually constipate?
We only use it on an as needed basis, but it hasn't constipated him. He's still going like 8 times a day
How is Harrison sleeping at night? Is he in his crib? Henry won't sleep in his crib after he wakes up for his first feeding.
He sleeps in his crib
Once he's out, we put him down & he's happy in there until he wakes for a feeding & change.
So if we could combine Harrison's sleeping habits and Henry's non-screaming ways we'd have one perfect baby!
pretty much!
