Ladies who have/had m/s - what are/were your "safe" foods?

Absolutely nothing is appealing to me these days. And I can't remember what I survived on when I was in the first tri with E. What are your go-to non-gag-inducing foods? I'm not really looking to enjoy anything...just need to get something in my belly.

  • The only safe thing last pregnancy for me were Saltines.
  • Mine wasn't as bad this pg, but last pg, it was salty carbs. Besides crackers, salty noodle dishes like ramen! Plain toasted almonds were my protein. I hope your m/s passes quickly!!
  • I have no idea how I found it but bagels were the only thing that didn't come back up for me.

I threw up pretty much everything else.

Sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope the m/s passes quickly!

  • My only safe food was Saltines and I ate boxes of those.

  • Plain bagels and boat loads of really fresh, high quality fruit (I did a melon cup from Safeway at one point and just about did me in).

  • Toast, especially Columbo extra sour

    Rice

potato pancakes (just potato & egg, pan fried w/ little oil)

    water crackers (like Carr's)

dry ginger ale (I think it's called "grown-up soda" - at WF)

    saltines

  • The first 20 weeks I had no appetite and survived on yogurt, grapes, saltines, plain white rice and pasta with a little bit of butter.
  • Quaker granola bars, Eggos, frozen pretzels and buttered pasta.  White rice and cereal too until those made me sick.  Hang in there!
  • toast...cereal (dry)...crackers...oh, and red vines. Tee hee

  • A&W rootbeer usually settled my stomach long enough for me to get some food in.

    Toast...crackers...cold shredded chicken sometimes.

    Mostly bread products for me.

Oh and on REALLY good days I could manage plain old fashioned oatmeal made on the stovetop.

  • Carbs, carbs, carbs....baked potatoes were my absolute life saver. I also really really wanted fruit all the time. Jamba Juice was dinner quite a few nights during those m/s weeks.
  • I had crackers, chips, french fries, or pretzels...again mostly carbs and for some reason the saltier the better.
