I lied to my child...

I got DD the cutest pumpkin costume (@ Gymboree)!

I took it out last night to try it on her; she looked at it and said?

DD: "no mommy, I wanna be Tinkerbell"

Me: "But look, this is a fairy princess costume, The Pumpkin Fairy" (I know, SO wrong)

DD: ?Noooo, no Pumpkin Fairy?

Me: ?Garden Fairy??

DD: NOOOOOOO

She ran to her room and brought back all of her fairies to show me? no Pumpkin Fairy there?

So I told her it was a Tinkerbell costume just a different color. After a few minutesof me trying to make my case, she finally gave in and tried it on. LOOKED ADORABLE!!!!!

Mommy wins???? or not! I can?t believe I lied to my child that way...

Re: I lied to my child...

  • ROFLOL! Okay, I would consider that a white lie. I think we have all told those too our kids at one point or another. My DD is trying to negotiate what she wears lately and I still want to decide that so there are all kinds of things coming out of my mouth. Haha.

  • Ha ha ha. I bet she looked so cute! Yeah, I tried to fib to DS about the cookies at Target last week. Didn't work out so well for me! He called me on it. LOL
  • Who would have thought that kids have an opinion about their Halloween costumes at age 2!!! I bet she looked darling.
