Pedi

Just wondering if anyone else is planning on getting a pedi in the last few weeks before the big day.  If so are you just going to you local nail place or a place that specializes in prenatal mani/pedi/massage?

Can't decide if what I should do.

Re: Pedi

  • I dont think im going to get one since money is tight. But if I was going to splurge I would go somewhere that would give my feet a good massage because someone rubbing my feet right now would make me swoon.

  • I'm just going to go to my regular place.

  • I plan on having one tomorrow or thursday actually. Not because my LO is due to come soon, but because I can't freaking reach my feet anymore and my DH has started to call me "dagger toes" :P

ETA: I'm just going to the place I always go to, I don't see the need in going anywhere that "specializes"

  • I knew people specialized in prenatal massage but not pedi/ mani.

I just got my toes done at a new spa in town. They did an awesome job so I might go back before the baby is born. Just depends on how I am feeling and what money looks like

  • I got one at 38 weeks, just went to a local place. I plan on going again if I am overdue, say around 41 weeks... i think i'll definitely be needing a good foot rub and some pampering if the baby still hasn't made its debut by then!

  • I just go where I always do. A specialty pedi, just sounds like something they charge extra for, with really no reason.
  • I sure am. I am not going anywhere special, but I can't even reach my toes so I need someone else to cut them, haha. I had one a few weeks ago and it was heavenly. Just make sure the water isn't very hot, I was swelling.

  • LOL!  I thought by the title of your post you meant "pediatrician"!

No, I can't afford to go and get a pedicure, but my DH does a pretty good job ;D

Yea I was pretty much thinking this!  Their price is super spendy, and I know I would be happy with a normal pedi - can't get to my feet either.

  • I am getting one at the end of this week at my regular nail place.  The paint usually stays nice for about 2 weeks so I figured I'll get one at about 37 weeks and then another one at 39 weeks if I haven't delivered yet.  I told my DH my plan and he laughed and said that no one would care about my feet.  I told him that I would and that at least something could look nice when I am in labor!
  • I just got one the other day (thank God!) at a local salon. They asked me wether or not I wanted my ankles massaged knowing that it could start something. I declined only because I had a few more things I needed to do before LO arrives. I would ask them to focus more on your calves then ankles.
