Got cleared at 6 week appointment..way tmi :)

So we cha-boned!

I was scared it would hurt the doc (not the one who deliverd me) said I had a good sized episiotomy (sp?) scar and that it would likely hurt but we could go for it.

So I got JLK and baby occupied and walked in and said lets go! We didnt even have any lube.

But it didnt really hurt. It wasnt normal or super comfy...but I wanst in a great deal of pain. ANd I am, looking forward to going for it again!

I wanted to share this TMIness since I heard sooo many horror stories and was pretty scared.

    Well, THANK YOU for sharing b/c I definitely want to hear all the experiences like this that I can.  I'm not even pregnant yet, and this is one of those things that scares me.  I'm glad it wasn't terrible and you're eager to try again.  Congrats...I guess?....haha :)

    Good for you! We did it right around 6 weeks too, though we did use A LOT of lube! I agree, wasn't painful, maybe a little uncomfortable, but I think that's because I was so tense (and I had a 4th degree tear from my epi) and I didn't really want  to do it, but think it's just one of those things that gets scarier the longer you wait and the more you think about it.

    seriously thank you for posting this.. because of all the horror stories ive been terrified to try. dh has been amazing with telling me whenever i am ready but i have been so scared cause its nothing i really thought of beforehand and than hearing the stories put the fear in me. so thanks again :)

    I think we were closer to 8 weeks but I am also part of the "hey, that wasn't so bad" group. I had a 2nd degree tear but by then it was fine.

    If you're super nervous have a drink beforehand. But seriously I had a 3rd degree tear and went for it at 6 weeks and was fine.

    My ob suggested I wait 2 more weeks at my postpartum visit and use an estrogen cream or it would hurt...so still waiting

    2nd degree tear here too and got cleared and went home and did it.  It wasn't bad at all.  I have confessed this before too...I was crazy horny just days after giving birth.  Dh and I fooled around like teenagers for weeks.  Not every woman experiences a lack of sex drive after birth. ;)

    Way to go for getting down and dirty.

    ? I'm thinking now after reading all the responses that it was worse for me because I had internal tears and my labia tore as well - but no?perineum?tearing. ?Man, that internal/labia tearing is a real ***, and no one warned me it was even a possibility. It took a long freaking time to heal. ?

    LOL!!  I waited til 8 weeks... lolol I was very nervous and didn't really 'enjoy' the deed.. I really tried..but man...  I wasa so paranoid and tense while 'doing it' .... nothing like leaky boobs and a flabby tummy to feel sexy!
