Well Andrew has always resisted his naps so through a show of force by DH and I we still get an hour out of him each day I predict he stops napping all together in the next six months, lord help me.
At the risk of sounding mean, I am still going to share what works for us. I enforce "nap time" but not sleep. That means we wind down starting at 12:30 or 1. Each kid goes to their own room. I try to get them down. If not, I just lock them in their rooms to either read or quietly play for about an hour. With that said, we replaced our regular doors with dutch ones so we could see what is going on and make sure the rooms are child safe. 80% of the time, they sleep. The kids are almost 2.5.

Don't think this is mean at all. He definitely needs the down time (so do I!)and still goes into his crib easily, but the past 3 of 4 days he has spent the full two hours (usual length of his nap) just chatting and playing with his stuffed animals.
