Dr office will not confirm m/c...

So, when I went to the ER Friday night for excessive bleeding, I was still bleeding, although it had tapered off, and they kept me mainly to draw some blood and keep an eye on my blood count levels to ensure I didn't need a transfusion. They sent me home with technically the "threatened miscarriage" diagnosis.

So, I went today to have it confirmed. The u/s tech could not get a clear picture of the contents of my uterus- she said I have a long uterus, making it hard to see the "stuff" (my word) at the top of my uterus. They saw a yolk sac and what they think was a fetal pole (no heartbeat). She said since I'm still so early, they didn't feel comfortable saying either way. So, off I went to see my nurse practitioner. She said my numbers from the ER visit were very high and good and since my bleeding is just spotting at this point, she doesn't want to rule it a m/c just yet. I had repeat blood work and will know tomorrow what the numbers are. Obviously if they're rising, that could mean I'm still pg. If they are falling, it's probably a m/c. I go next week for another u/s to determine baby or D&C.

I don't want to get my hopes up, but if there is still a baby in there, that would obviously be the best case scenario at this point. Just please pray or send me some good thoughts. I had the waiting game. I just want to know. Thanks.

How frustrating. I am hoping for the best case scenario for you. Like many pp said limbo is the worst and I'm sorry that's where your at. I hope you get the answers you need soon. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
