Babies: 3 - 6 Months

NBR-I sideswiped my garage--help!

So I was rushing to get out of the house today to drop DD off at day care, and in my haste I swiped the side of the garage with my brand new 3 month old toyota highlander. Arg! There are no dents, and I don't think the car paint is scratched, it just left a few lines of white paint from the garage trim.  DH is super mad at me, and I know that it was stupid, but I just want to try and fix it without it costing mucho $$.

Anyone know of any way to get the house paint off?

Will baby #3 be another girl?

  • As long as it's just paint transfer, I think a detail place can get it off.

  • You can get a tiny thing of touch up paint from the dealer for really cheap that matches your car. If it didn't scratch it shouldn't be a big deal because it won't rust.

    How big is the mark?

  • Maybe you can try to buff it out.
  • Buffing should do the trick

This. Also, try Goo Gone & then wash your car. I had one of those wooden arms from a gated community gate come down on my trunk once, & it took it right off.

If there are scratches, most detail places can buff them out. You're better off to do that then paint the side of the car. I used to sell cars & that would look like an accident when you go to trade. A detail costs about 100-150 around here - you may pay a bit more if they have to do a lot of buffing or extra work for the paint.
