Target Brand Diapers

I've heard a lot of good things about Target brand diapers. While I have heard not to buy generic when it comes to diapers, I have heard nothing but good things about them. If you've used them, or plan on using them, do you like them and do they seem to work well? Meaning fit decently and no leaks?

Re: Target Brand Diapers

  • I was wondering the same thing, good post

  • Haven't used them yet, but I bought some based on the recommendation of picky people I know who like them alot.
  • We use the Pampers Swaddlers (NB size) and recently decided to try the Up &Up (Target brand) equivalent due to hearing good things about them.  They were hard, way too big and leaked.  We're sticking with the Pampers from now on.
  • I have not used them personally, but a mom of twins recommended them to me.

  • I use them during the day on my 2 year old but use Pampers at night.  He is not a fan of a wet diaper at all so he sleeps better with the better absorbancy.  They are good diapers though, not too bulky, contain what they are supposed to contain and look cute too.
  • I haven't tried Target diapers. But in the very begining we used walmart brand diapers and they worked okay.

We also used Costco brand diapers which we really liked but do not have a membership to costco.

Now we use BJ's brand diapers which we love and have used for over 5 months....

  • I switched to them after DS grew out of swaddlers, and they have worked great for me.

My niece tried the size one on her newborn son...and didn't have good luck.

I would definately try them!  And if they don't work for size 1, try again the the future with a bigger size, they are Sooooo much cheaper!

  • I hated Target brand diapers. They always, always leaked with my DD, I've never had a problem with any other brand. That being said, I know a lot of people who love them, so who knows...
  • The Target brand diapers are the ONLY generic diapers we have had success with (compared to white cloud, parents choice, etc)..

Our favorite diaper was the Pamper's Baby Dry (green box) and I compare the UP&UP's with them..

At one point they did start to leak at night.. so we went a size up.. and they were fine... actually I wouldn't blame the diapers, my DS was a bottle addict, he had about 3 bottles a night before we went cold turkey with them (at about 18 months!) and that has solved the leaking issue all together!

Soo.. YES I highly recommend these, especially for 13 something bucks for a box- it's a steal!

  • We haven't used Target brand, but we have used Sam's Club brand and they were awesome. Not as soft as Pampers, but worked better for leaks with our boys. I have also been using Publix (grocery brand for those not familiar with Publix) and they work really well too. My oldest was starting to get really bad rashes with all of the name brand diapers, so I tried them...he has not had a rash since.
  • I have read a lot of good things on them too. I bought a small pack to try them out on DS. I have only used 3 so not much of a review yet. So far I think they will pass. I have been a loyal pampers user since birth. I think they are slightly stiffer than pampers but not too bad. They do get hard when wet which is different but not really a problem yet.

I will likely be switching DS to Target brand at least part of the time. But I will probably still put the baby in Swaddlers.

  • I've also heard from my cousin that the Sam's Club diapers work well for her.

  • I've been using the Up and Up brand from Target since my little guy was in a size 4... they are GREAT for upper sizes, I'm just very picky about the softness of Pampers Swaddlers for newborns... And just because a diaper leaked with one kid doesn't mean they will leak with another. I say try several different types until you find one you like. I'm planning on using Pampers in the beginning with my newborn baby girl and then moving her into the Up and Up brand as soon as possible.
  • We just switched to Up&Up for my 2 year old. We were loyal Pampers users but you can't beat the savings with the generic. We haven't had any issues so far. We plan to use the Pampers until DS outgrows the swaddlers and then use the generic for him as well.

  • I use them on DD when she's not in her cloth diapers (like now when we're visitng my parents). I love them. Just as good as Huggies, IMO, and cheaper. I've never had a leak out of them.
  • I didn't really like them - I thought they were on the thinner / flimsier side of the diapers I've tried and the pee would seap through the diaper onto both of my kids clothes - not out the legs, but literally THROUGH the diaper booty.

I went from using Pampers to Huggies (Pampers did the same thing as the Target brand for me) to Kirkland's (Costco) and the Kirklands ones are my favorite so far... super cheap, tons in the box and they work just as well as my favorite name brand (Huggies.)?

  • I love them, but I have a one year old. I'm not sure how well they stand up to newborn soakings ;)

  • We buy these for daycare and sometimes use at home also. They work well for us. No leaks and are really cute with the dots on them! HTH!
  • I like the Up and Ups quite a bit... although, we cloth diapered for most of DS' diapering career.  He recently outgrew them so we have been using the Target brand...  I also like that they don't advertise any characters on them.
