Did anyones membrane stripping work?

Just sneaking over to ask a quick question.

Just had my membranes stripped today. I was 2cm, 60% effaced and -1 station. I asked her to do it, she said they generally don't because of the amount of pain but she would if I wanted her too. I did, and so she did it.

I beleive she said if it was going to work it would work within 24-48 hours but I can't quite remember the 2nd number.

They had to do it to me 3 times before it worked...

I had it done twice, second time my water broke within 24 hours. It didn't hurt me at all.

It worked that night for me, I was 40 weeks exactly but already 4 cm.

didnt work for me- i was 2cm, 40%, -1 when they did it @39 weeks, i went into labor a week later non my own

i had my baby about 24 hrs after mine were stripped. i got them stripped at 40 weeks exactly.

I had mine done at 11am and my water broke at 3:05pm..33 hours later DS was born! lol

It's always so hard to tell if things 'work' or if it's all coincidence. I had mine stripped on Monday morning, I was 39w 1d and my water broke Wednesday night, I was 39w 3d.

It worked for me with both kids. With my daughter, my water broke exactly 24 hours later. With my son, contractions started 2 hours later and he was born 8 hours after that.
