I'm 24wks today and barley feel LO move. When I was 14 wks, I felt him and thought, "WOW, he's an early bloomer".... Now at 24wks and barely any movement it worries me. Dr said all was well...but I just feel, bothered, for lack of better words.
I'm a little over 25 weeks, and I just felt Becca start moving last week. I was worried too until that point, but she just suddenly started and now I feel her every day. It's like she suddenly realized she could move! :-) So I'm sure you're fine. Everyone is different, and you might just have a baby that loves to sleep! :-p
I felt LO early on. I have just in the past couple days started feeling him/her more often. Anything prior was totally random.
Try lying on your back about 30 mins after having a snack and a cold drink (milk, juice, a shake). You can probably get some flutters then.
Also my doc said the busier I am during the day the more likely I am to sleep through the active periods - especially considering all the room he/she has right now. The constant movement lulls them so they move less and if they are moving, we're too busy to notice. Then at night while we're sleeping the LO is probably having a one baby gymnastic tournament.
TTC since 2005.
DS via IVF - 02/10
Baby #2 - due 10/16/11
hmm... i don't know what's normal and what's not but i know i've been feeling my LO daily since about 19 wks. she always moves in the morning (as if saying good morning) or when there's music playing or when i'm eating... she moves a lot... lol
With my first pregnancy, I didn't feel regular, consistent movement until 25+ weeks - I don't remember exactly when, but I know it was after 25 weeks because when I was home for Christmas I still wasn't feeling regular movement. And I didn't feel a strong, certain "kick" (as opposed to flutters) until around 30 weeks. Baby was fine, just not super active.
Interestingly, that baby is 18 months now and still more of an intellectual than an athlete - though he is pretty much constantly in motion as any toddler is - but he'll gladly choose reading books at the children's library over climbing around on the playground.
The little girl I'm carrying now seems to move all.the.time - which worries me when she reaches the toddler years! LOL.
