new to the board... glad to meet you!

hi, all. I'm 37 and have just started TTC for #2. I had my first kid about two years ago, just a month shy of my 35th bday. he is my world!

I'm very nervous about starting the process again. we were so lucky the first time around to get pregnant our second month trying. I'm worried that now that I'm a bit older, it might not be so easy. I'm also scared about the things that probably many of you are... increased chance of birth defects and difficulties during pregnancy.

I was also recently diagnosed with a medical condition for which I have to take medication. though my docs have assured me that the medication only slightly increases the risk of birth defects, I worry about that, too.

but I want another child SO much, and though I'm nervous, I'm excited, too.

anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'd love to hear about who else is on this board.

Hey there, Welcome!

I'm 34, DH is 44, we're on our third month trying for #1. Maybe I'm naive but I dont think about birth defects really much at all. I feel like what is meant to be will be, and that I would love my child either way. And, I dont have any control over that... so I try to let it go. (I should remind myself of that the next time I'm obsessing about when I O! LOL)

nice to meet you, too and welcome! i am 35 and we are also trying for #2. we have a 2 year old dd that we adore. a little sibling for her would make us so happy! good luck to us all!
