32 weeks pregnant with a three year old who goes to pre-school and I work in a public building where we have kids here all the time and a gym. I feel like the odds are stacked against us and that inevitably we'll end up getting it. Uuugh. Figure I can drag my feet until OC actually gets more of the vaccines in. Until, ignorance is bliss!
I guess you just have to do what is right for you. I am so skidish about all vaccines. I do an alternative schedule with both kids ( not because I think there is an autisim link) however, I think I am going to do this one.
No. Our pedi recommended no. - DD is healthy and as long as we wash our hands often we should be ok. We are just going to be careful of exposure however, she is not in daycare so it can easily be done for us.
I am leaning towards NO, my mom always gets sicker when she gets the flu shots so I had never taken a flu shot, and most of the time I have been lucky enough not to get the flu... i think last time I was out with the flu was about 8years ago... before that was about 10years ago... (knock on wood)
This vaccine is just out too fast... little one already has to deal with all the other vaccines... I don't want to put him through more shots when you can prevent yourself and your child from getting sick...
mean while.. .we will be washing our hands frequently, staying out of places that have too many people... and eating healthy...
I too am on the fence for this! I really want to say NO. It's so new and it was created so fast. I work in a large building with over 2000 people, and in my dept alone, there is always someone who is sicker than a dog that still comes in and coughs everywhere. LO will be starting daycare in a little over a month, it's an in-home so maybe the chances are slimmer..but sheesh, this is difficult!
I am just so super paranoid about it, not so much me getting it but my 8 week old who can't get any shots to prevent it. =(

Re: ok girls H1n1 - vaccine yes or no?
I am so on the fence about this one, too.

I'm 10 weeks pregs and on the fence about this too. Those of you that said NO, would you get it if you were pregnant?
Also, I'm traveling to Australia in a month and feel like I might be at a higher risk of catching it due to travel. Any thoughts?
I never get the flu shot and figured this year wouldn't be any different.
I finally decided to get the H1N1 and now I can't find one anywhere sooo...I guess no.
