3rd Trimester

my poor kitty..

I think he is sick, so he has a vet appt tomorrow to get him feeling better =[. I also am worried he somehow got fleas (he is indoors but likes to sit on the porch with me sometimes). He has been itching so I want to give him a bath after his appt tomorrow and do something to kill the possbile fleas in the house.

Does anyone know a safe(and easy) way to do this? I dont know whats okay and no okay with me being pregnant.

Mom to 2 healthy boys, and a baby girl in Heaven. Heard her heartbeat on 7/18, heartbeat was gone on 7/20. Miss you forever.

  • You should not be around the flea medicine. Ask DH to do it, or maybe the vet. Any of those insect killers can hurt the baby.

  • we get our house and yard sprayed by a company. i'm not sure what they use, but it's safe for pregnant women. it's a little pricey ($60), so maybe ask your vet tomorrow if he/she has any other suggestions.
  • Getting frontline on him ASAP will kill all fleas and eggs by 24hours. BUT- have hubby or someone else do it since it is toxic and try to avoid contact with him for 24hours. In the mean time, wash all your bedding, couch covers, throws etc. Fold the items inward to avoid shaking off any eggs and place directly in the wash.Vaccum like crazy and throw away the bag outside. This has always worked for me. I have 5 cats although they are indoors, they have picked up fleas a couple of times over the years. This frontline and clean-up method always works for us. Don't use any carpet powders, room sprays, or foggers. They are very toxic and don't work all that well anyways. You'll never get the chemicals out of your home either.Good luck!

  • Thanks for the advice =]
