Make up my mind please

So on Friday, I got hit in my forehead with my trunk. It hurt, I laughed, I moved on.  There was a bruise and some pain, two tylenol fixed it for the night.

Saturday it was very slightly painful, but there were also 3 consecutive weather fronts going through that could have been the problem.

Now my head hurts. But I can't remember the last time I had a headache that wasn't a migraine, so I don't know if this is a headache or something that's cause to go to urgent care. It just plain hurts--I left dinner early, and it feels like my eye on the bumped side of my head is a bit wobbly.

So should I go in, or just hang out, lay low, and plan to call DH's doctor tomorrow and see if they can get me in to see someone after I teach?

  • And if I go in, do I drive myself, or do I call DH to come home from the meeting he's at so that he can drive me?

  • I would probably go in. If you feel ok to drive depending how far the hospital is from you I might drive. If you don't want to go can you call ask a nurse? My old health insurance had something like that which I've called before. I hope it's just a headache and not something else. Keep us posted.
  • I would go in and have dh to drive me. Head injuries can be very serious, don't take it too lightly. It owuld be better to be safe.

ditto. it is always better to be safe than sorry.
  • I think you should be seen.  Head injuries are nothing to mess with.  I had a concussion when I was in HS.  At first I didn't think anything of it but 3 days later my head still hurt so my mom made me go in.  Turns out the dr said that if I had gone in the first day he's have made me stay in the hospital.

So...go in and get checked out just to be safe.  It is probably nothing but I'd rather make sure.  If you feel comfortable driving then drive yourself.  If you have any hesitation then make your dh take you.

And take a day off.  If nothing else it's a mental health day.  Better safe then sorry I say.
