I thought this might be a good place to post and I'm hoping someone can offer me a bit of advice/comfort!
I am currently finishing up my last semester of college and will have one online class to complete before receiving my degree. Our baby is due Dec. 29th and I'm a bit nervous about doing the online course and taking care of a little one. However, I will not have a job during this time, as my husband is working. So my two responsibilities will be 1) taking care of our daughter and 2) working on this class.
The online class is self-paced but I want to finish by mid-march and will begin the course in December sometime. I'm just very stressed about this...but for some reason I feel as if I am overreacting a little. Can anyone give me some advice or words of comfort? It would be great to hear from working moms as I am not quite in that category but am not 100% "work" free either! Thanks!
Re: Stressed and looking for some comforting words!
Thanks! It's just really frustrating...but I'm definitely not opposed to help! I'm so fortunate to have my family and my husband's family around for help and suppport!
Has anyone gone through a situation similar to this (mine)?
SO true! During the first couple of months the babies sleep a lot. So during the day even though you might be exhausted, while lo is napping you can work. Give it a couple of weeks and you will eventually get into some sort of rhythm. It will work out. I wish you all the best!!!
Thanks so much! These replies are all very reassuring. And although my hubby says the same things, sometimes it's nice to hear it from other moms!
If classes weren't so darn expensive this wouldn't be an issue! But...you gotta play the hand your given, so I'll just do my best!
The consensus seems to be that it will be a challenge but not quite as bad as I'm imagining. I appreciate all the thoughts everyone has had!
