Stabbing in cervix?

Since last night, I feel like a knife is being jabbing in my cervix. This is just a wee bit painful. My LO is really low, and I am used to being kicked in the cervix, but this is constant. Obviously if this continues, I'll call my doc. But, I was just curious to see if any of you had this same discomfort aroud 34 weeks? TIA!

    Yep, it's stopped me dead in my tracks before.  It really sucks but I'm told (by my OB and the girls here) it's normal.

    yes, I hate that. It's totally normal though. My doctor explained that it's most likely baby just pushing on the cervix. If it's accompanied with bleeding that is more than then light spotting then call your OB. I've found that tylenol and a warm bath help with the pain a little.

    Also, the Mayo clinic book says that a "stabbing pain in your vagina" could be your cervix starting to dialate, which is generally good news.  (As long as it doesn't go too much to soon.  :)
