When are you doing or did you do the GD test?

My doc just mentioned it this week. They will schedule it at my 24 week appt, for around 26 weeks. I will just do it in their office... They said its best to do around 26-28 weeks....

I have always have had it done at 28w. That along with my Rhogham shot.

I have my 24w appointment in 2 weeks and they will give me the glucola drink to bring home and drink an hour before my 28w appointment.

My next appointment next week at 27 weeks. I have my drink already so I don't have to sit and wait in the office.

I'm getting it at 27w (next week). It will be in the dr's office. If you're worried about scheduling b/c of work, call your doc and schedule it for when you have time!

they did mine early because i have a family history of diabetes. i did the one hour glucose challenge test at 13 weeks and failed. they had me attempt the 3 hour glucose tolerance test this past friday (so around 14 weeks). i didn't keep down the drink so i have to try again this week (bummer).

my doctor said he usually does the test around 28 weeks unless he has a reason to suspect a higher risk of GD is present. i have a friend who said she didn't have hers until she was about 7 1/2 months along. i would just ask-- it seems the time varies slightly between doctors.
