Hey ladies... question for you experts!
When your LO was 6-7 weeks old, how much did they sleep? Last week, it seemed like Colin was up for a 2-3 hour stretch in the morning, slept a couple hours through lunch time, and then was up for another 2-4 hour stretch in the afternoon. Things this week have kinda reversed- he's up at lunch time and sleeping long stretches the rest of the day. I'm worried that he's messing up his night sleep with so much daytime napping. I don't let him sleep more than 3 hours, but when I get him up to feed him, he pretty much falls right back to sleep!
I almost don't know what to do with myself with so much naptime (I know this is a good problem to have)... but it leaves me time to fret that he's sleeping too much!
myantonia - I may not be the best one to answer this question b/c my DS was a TERRIBLE napper at that age. He'd sleep for a total of 12-13 hours at night (getting up 2-3 times to nurse), but it was a definite fight to get him to nap during the day. I'm also a big proponent of the "never wake a sleeping baby" idea... I think if he's sleeping that much, then he's doing it for a reason.
Any other moms have better advice?
I'd like to be added please!
